We talk with a lot of people who have motor homes, travel trailers, boats or other recreational vehicles. Many of them are faced with problems from homeowner associations and landlords who do not allow them to park it in their driveway or even on their own property. This creates considerable need and urgency as they have such a large investment and wish to protect it. Meeting this need is where your property management business may come in.
There are many facilities that have no accommodation for vehicles on the fenced lot or cannot have inside parking. For example, in Nevada it is not legal to park a vehicle of any kind in a building. We take a lot of calls from California and have been told that people in California are driving as far as Nevada for an outside parking space for their RV.
We have a lot of inquiries. People are considering the purchase of an RV and are trying to cover all their bases by checking out the cost and availability of parking spaces before they purchase. Many times they have been calling for quite a while and are in a bit of sticker shock at the prices.
Many facilities are building additional RV parking to meet this demand. With good property management advice and planning this shortage could be alleviated. If I owned 15 acres in California I would certainly be considering setting up RV parking.
