What Do You Wish For?By admin on December 3, 2007 | No Comments
I wish I had a storage unit full of the Nintendo Wii video games. I went out shopping yesterday will full intent on buying two different video game systems. First I wanted to buy a Nintendo DS lite handheld system for my dad and then I wanted the Wii for my house. Little did I know that finding the Wii system is next to impossible. I have not been hiding under a rock but have also not been out doing any holiday shopping. After yesterdays encounter, I then noticed newspaper stories and news stories about how the Wii is a big holiday seller. I was pretty naïve to think I could walk into a store and just pick one up.
I wish I owned a self storage business, somewhere fun like or Colorado, Basalt self storage. Owning a self storage business would be a great way to take advantage of land that might not be desirable to develop into something else. Maybe a site in Kansas City self storage would give you a large city atmosphere but not as big as a self storage unit in New York City. What do you wish you had a full of?

Online Property Management
Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /home/totalq/public_html/wp-includes/http.php on line 1787
Yesterday I placed an order online. No sooner than I had clicked Submit had an email popped up to notify me that the order was placed. I was amazed at the speed and accuracy of the process.
I know, the web site probably has some clever trigger that sends email automatically, but the fact that some one thought of that was genius. Then, later in the day I received an email confirming that my purchases had been processed and shipped.
Now that’s great customer service. The systems they have in place keep the consumer in the loop through the entire order and shipment process. And this company shipped my order just hours after placing it; that’s speed!
When do you think that webpage management and online customer service will be considered a common part of property management? Points To Consider When Renting Self StorageBy admin on November 5, 2007 | No Comments
Warning: gzinflate() [function.gzinflate]: data error in /home/totalq/public_html/wp-includes/http.php on line 1787
Have you ever set out to rent a and thought you had everything nailed down, only to become a victim of severe sticker shock when you realized that the rates you were quoted might have applied to the bare bones model of the van but failed to include a host of surcharges, fees, and taxes? In the same way, many consumers in search of the most favorable self storage rates will sign up with the facility that offers the lowest bare bones quote, but once all is said and done, they will be surprised – frequently quite unhappily so – to realize just what they have to purchase extra in order to have their goods safely and securely stored.
Points to consider when researching vary, of course, but by and large there are some common denominators to consider. For example, be realistic about the size of the unit you need. Just because a small unit will fit into your budget, the fact that a larger unit will accommodate your finding documents, books, or other items quickly and easily is well worth the extra expense. Having to completely unpack all of your belongings simply because you wanted to rent a small space and pay the least amount of money does not make sense if you will access the unit frequently.
While rates vary across town, make sure that the storage facility is located close to your home or place of employment. You will not relish saving a few dollars each month if it means having to drive 45 minutes each way to retrieve a book or sweater. Last but not least, whenever comparing rates make sure you get everything in writing. This way there will be no surprises about hidden fees, taxes, or other non-disclosed costs that suddenly make that great deal not so great anymore.
