Houston…we have a problem, a water problem.

It seems that our water filter that is attached to our sink in our break room at our call center is broken. Tron calls for a service call and is told that it will be at least 3 days until someone can come out and look at it. Ok…wow they must be busy. So, then Tron calls back and asks if a route person can drop off a cooler and a couple bottles of water till the faucet gets fixed. Guess what he is told? “No, I am sorry, we won’t be able to, we are too busy for that.” Not only is Tron talking to someone he knows, he used to be the general manager for the Columbia office. So, not even being the past general manager will get you some water faster. And, the warehouse is less than one mile away from our office.
 
Does anyone else see a customer service problem? I do, I do. The water company is not able to provide us with prompt service on a water filter that they installed and keep the maintenance on. What does your business do to help the customers you already have? If you can’t keep your current customers happy, how are you going to get and keep future customers?  Current storage customers need the continued security, helpful office personnel, clean property, and peace of mind…just like a new customer will need.

epilogue; after telling Culligan that Mountain valley could get a cooler and water her tomorrow, the service tech showed up this afternoon and repaired the drinking water system.
