Sold Out
-
I just called one of the companies that we secret shop and the manager told me that they didn’t have any storage available right now, but maybe at the end of the month. I realize this manager probably didn’t want to get into a long sales pitch and then have to tell me that there was no storage available, but they should have asked when I needed storage. What if I didn’t need storage for a few weeks? If I were a real customer I would have gone to the next place in the phone book to look for a . When availability is low you should still try and figure out what the callers needs are. Ask for the callers name and let them know they you will call if that size opens up. By letting me go and telling me to call back, sends the message that they are not looking for future business.
Most companies know when they will have some vacancies, yes some are spur of the moment but most are planned. This allows the manager to be able to provide the best customer service available. Letting calls go is like letting future business go, and while their property is full today it may not be tomorrow.
