We all know that the Internet has opened up a whole new wealth of information and different and new ways to attract business.  When you log on you are bombarded with information about various things.  Whether they are related to the subject you are currently searching or not, you get the information or the opportunity to look at the information.

PhoneSmart is now working several different ways to gain business for many different self storage facilities.  We can generate many leads for self storage through the Internet.  I was speaking with Tron Jordheim, our Chief Operating Officer this morning about how we get some of the information for our self storage facilities.  It is really an interesting thing to see how this has taken off right here.  I have been in the call center for almost 3 years now and a lot of things have changed in that short period of time.  Now we can almost get anyone a storage unit in their area with the click of a button.  It only makes sense to jump onto this new and untapped area in the self storage industry we not only speak with a person over the phone but also chat live. It is pretty nifty and cost effective.  The customer may be moving to a new area and instead of calling a lot of different storage facilities and running up long distance charges they can gain the information over the Internet without the charges!
