PhoneSmart Prize Patrol

At Phone-Smart we have a training program called the PhoneSmart prize patrol. The Prize Patrol is an innovative way of training StorageMart mangers. Once a week, usually on a Friday one of us will call each one of the StorageMart facilities.  Our phone call consists of asking a question related to storage. The manager or whoever answers the phone must give the correct answer. The right answer to most of our prize patrol questions is DO YOU NEED STORAGE?  This week the prize patrol question was “Do you have post office boxes?” Some of the StorageMart facilities offer post office boxes and some of them don’t. Makes no difference I still asked the question. I received many different responses but as long as they asked, “Do you need storage”, I awarded them their points. At the end of the contest, the region with the most points wins the prize. We also have a traveling trophy that is awarded to the winning region. Sometimes we send the store with the most points a surprise pizza party via special delivery by the local pizza place. Most of all we get to know each other on a more personal basis while training and having fun.
