Do Nots
- Do not discuss your storage access codes with someone you do not trust completely.
- Do not store inflammable and hazardous items, including but not limited to aerosols, ammunition, matchbox, lighters, lamp oils, paint thinners, kerosene, gasoline, poisons, fireworks, car batteries, ammonias, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.
- Do not place perishable items inside the unit. Food, frozen or otherwise, will attract rodents and vermin. Similarly, plants may die in a closed environment.
- Do not store items of sentimental value and personal importance or any such items that cannot be compensated in terms of money or otherwise. Some of the examples are air tickets, car keys, cell phones, laptops, check books, cash, insurance policies, important keys, legal documents pertaining to home, car titles, bonds, IRAs, financial documents, deeds, medical prescriptions, wedding photographs, jewellery, family albums, memorabilia, video tapes, address books, professional files, school records, medical and dental records, etc.
- Do not cover your items with plastic sheet as plastic can retain moisture.
- Do not stuff your boxes heavily while packing. Heavily packed boxes will be difficult to move.
- Do not put mothballs in direct contact with the clothing as they may leave a stain on your clothing.
- Do not pack dishes and mirrors on the flat side. Pack them on the sides. If possible pack them along with mattresses or other soft items.
