Mystery Shop For Extra Income
-
Mystery shops are a great way to make some extra money. Most companies do not have any requirements that you have to meet in order to apply for a job. In general, as long as you are of legal age, you can apply for a job with one of these many different companies. Occasionally a company may require that you have access to the Internet so that you can complete the necessary reports online after you have finished with your mystery shops . Either way, it is a fairly simple field of work to get into, and you are almost never expected to pay anything up front in order to apply for the job in the first place.
There is of course the obvious requirement that you be an observant person. It is not as simple as just going shopping and then going home and filling out a report. When you are actually at the store or business that you are observing, you will have to remember a list of specific things to look for. Commonly, a business will have its own list of criteria they will want you to look for when you go on mystery shops . This will be tailor made for their particular store, location, etc. and allow them to more effectively evaluate their customers, employees and services. As stated previously, extra cash is about the only thing you will get from mystery shops unless you are willing to put many hours and much traveling time into the job. This job will not make you rich by any means! The helpful thing about this job is that it allows you, many times, to go places that you would naturally be going regardless, such as the grocery store, a restaurant, gas stations, and many various retail stores. This helps you double up on duties, allowing you to perhaps get groceries while also getting paid something for some simple observances while you are at the store.
The range of money you could get from any given job can range anywhere from 5 dollars to 30 or more dollars. Many times the company you work for will reimburse you later on if you have made purchases at the store you visited, or at least give you something for gas money. If they do not plan on reimbursing you for travel, etc. you will most likely want to be sure that you are either not traveling very far, or that you will get paid outright for the job instead.
Another good thing about this type of job is that you can almost always take either a friend or even your children if you have any. Of course it is best to check with the company you work for in advance to be certain, and never assume this is the rule. Also there are some stores and places that are perhaps not suitable for children under certain ages. If you do end up taking your children, if they are young it is probably easiest to simply not tell them that you are conducting mystery shops . Children are not as good at hiding this type of thing and might give it away while you are on the job. This means exposure, the ruining of that particular job, and possibly not even getting paid for it!
