Musical Chairs and Other Childhood Games

Every day that Ann is here when I am, there is always one point during my shift when she says to me, “Every time I see you, you are in a different chair.” It is not her imagination. Laurie and I joke occasionally that we like to play musical chairs in Outbound Calling.
There is a reason behind our child-like game though; every computer has different information and in some instances, different programs. For example, only two of the three outbound computers have the Google Earth program. Guess which one does not have it? Mine. So if I am making outbound calls and I need to find a different based on zip code, I have to go to a different computer. This happens quite often throughout the day, so I am constantly switching chairs.
I do not mind this unconscious pastime; it gives me a chance to stretch my legs. Sitting in one chair making call after call after call can get pretty daunting sometimes, and it is nice to get up every once and a while. Soon though, the musical chair game will be less common. The Outbound Department is in the process of installing Google Earth on my computer. I will still be getting up to stretch my legs though.
