Missing Out In Quality Assurance

Missed opportunities do not only come in relationships but also with self storage and property management. I wondered this as I was going through a difficult spot with a friend. During a disagreement with my friend, I missed the opportunity to explain what I meant by a statement I made. Had I taken the time to ask one simple question, “Do you understand what I mean?” I may not have hurt someone that I care about so deeply.
With if sales reps are not careful the same thing can happen. I have had countless callers asking the rate for a truck rental, the hours of operation or moving and packing supplies. Since I am in a call center I do not have the rates for the customer. Many times the caller hangs up once this is explained to them. Taking the time to ask one simple question could turn everything around. The simple question, “Are you needing storage too?” could be a lead in to a reservation. Either the caller will say yes or no. If the caller says yes, then I can be of assistance with a rental opportunity. If the caller says no, I still can be of assistance to the caller and offer a transfer to voicemail of the local property manager.
