Many self storage facilities offer mailboxes. I wonder why they don’t offer safety deposit boxes or some kind of locker for rent.
I am in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico and wishing there was a place to safely store a little “cashola”. I don’t have enough cash to open an account in the local bank. I don’t feel comfortable carrying over $200.00 on me. I don’t feel good about keeping all of my money in the hotel room. It would be great if someone offered self storage lockers and small deposit boxes for the tourist population in Mazatlan.

It seems to me that offering tourist lockers and safety deposit boxes for rent could be very lucrative. You see so many tourists walking around with backpacks loaded with stuff. Wouldn’t it be easier to just rent a locker for a week or two? I have taken it upon myself to survey a few tourists and they all agree that small lockers at a reasonable price in a convenient location would be the answer to what the tourist needs.

For now I will continue to hide my extra cash in my sock in my old boot. Maybe some day when I return to Mazatlan the hotels will offer a small storage locker or safety deposit box for rent. Right now I just wish I could plug in my laptop here in my hotel room with a view of the ocean. I would sit right here and take missed calls for storage and turn them into reservations. That is what I do back home but wouldn’t it be awesome to take those missed calls right here in beautiful Mazatlan.  Perhaps a PhoneSmart call center number 2!
