Manage Your Property With Giving
-
It’s the season of giving. This morning on my way to work I dropped off some old blankets to the Humane Society. It made me feel so good and I really didn’t do that much. Giving to others is something I have always enjoyed doing. I don’t go overboard but I try to help out my fellow employee’s children’s fund raisers, the food bank, and of course the Humane Society along with some little extras along the way. Plus, I hate to throw things away so I think of who could use it and try to give the item away.
It’s hard when you are a small business or sometimes even a large corporation to be able to be giving. When you are a small business you might not have extra money in your budget to be able to give away. Then sometimes with the large corporations there is a lot of red tape and hoops to jump through to get something approved.
Here are some ideas about giving to get you through the season:
-
Let a local non profit group or church use a storage unit for their use.
-
Let someone in need clean your property in exchange for lunch or dinner.
-
Offer a small monetary donation to a local girls or boys club to pick up around you property.
-
Donate items left behind to an organization that can use them or resell them.
-
Keep baked goods on hand in the office for customers that come in.
-
Reward an employee with a day off paid or some other gift.
I hope you all have a great holiday season in whatever you celebrate. Remember to give a little, and be thankful.
