So for anyone who has never worked in a call center environment, let me give you a glimpse into our call center world. If you are thinking cubicles, you would be right. We definitely operate within the cubicle environment. It can get a bit crowded at times, and if someone has a cold, watch out! Best to have disinfectant wipes nearby. Not only are we professional with prospect callers but I would like to think we are also professional amongst each other at the call center. A call center is a place of employment, just like with any other employment facility, except that in a call center we interact with callers on the phone so we don’t really do much interaction amongst we co-workers. We show up to work, we are courteous to each other, we say hello to each other and proceed to get to work, respectively. Being that we work on the phone, we do sit for long periods of time, where we are given an opportunity to briefly strike up a conversation with our fellow co-workers, if one desires. The life of a call center may not be for all but for those that can endure the call center life, kudos to them.
