The Recreational Vehicle seems to be making a big comeback, especially amongst the younger crowd. I recently watched a movie called “The RV” with Robin Williams about a husband and his family who decide to take an RV road trip to Colorado rather than to go to Hawaii. Robin Williams’ character actually wanted to do the road trip for work-related reasons and not necessarily because he wanted to just hang out with his family. Like with any and every feel-good family oriented movie, Robin Williams’ character realizes that spending time with family is very important and vital in his life and thus his family’s adoration for each other is revived.
So should we thank the Recreational Vehicle for bringing families closer? Perhaps. However, when it comes to the actual RV, more people are actually purchasing the RV rather than renting it, like the family in the movie did. When the RV is not in use, the owner of the RV needs a place to store it. Most people do not have the space to keep the RV at their homes. That is where a comes into play.
More and more facilities are offering RV parking spots with various amenities and at great prices. I think I get on average about at least 2 prospect calls per day wanting an RV spot because they are in the process of purchasing an RV, recently purchased an RV or have had an RV for years. Your sales are bound to increase if you learn how to offer RV spots that can appeal to your customers.
