It’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighboorhood

Sunday was such a beautiful day that I was not even cranky about the time change. I was up bright and early and even attended a meeting before coming to work at the call center. My problem was that I did not want to give up any of this beautiful day for work. I cannot tell you how many reasons I could think of not to come to work. But then, there is that pesky house payment . . . oh well!
When I arrived at work I was glad I came. The place was buzzing with activity, there were new people coming in for training and the numbers from the past weekend were very exciting. Most of all there were people calling who needed my help. People were moving or in need of a secure for valuable items.
Many of our callers have never been in storage before. They were not familiar with the sizes or the choices available. Many times they call and ask for a because they have been told about that size. With some careful probing questions we can determine a size that will accommodate what they need to store without renting an oversized unit. This can be a real savings for them and they appreciate our gentle guidance.
People seemed to be in a good mood and the calls came quickly but it was fun. I talked with people from all around the country, used my best sales techniques to assist them, and with the accelerated time, the shift was over before I knew it.
I wish for many more days that are too pretty to be inside.
