How may I help you with Self storage today?
This phrase is the most commonly used phrase here at PhoneSmart. In using the Role Play Helpline I have learned many other greetings we could use when answering the phones for self storage. One I have heard is, “Thank you for calling XYZ Company where we are clean and friendly.” Another one I have heard is, “XYZ and XYZ Company this is NAME how can I help you with storage today?” While both of these are great openings, sometimes it helps to shorten it up a little.
With today’s rushed society and “I want information now” attitudes we get rushed off the phone sometimes with a high strung person who just wants the price of the unit. When this happens we try to get the customer to mirror our mood if we can take them there. We let them know that it sometimes takes a minute to pull the prices up and while we are doing that we can give them some of the amenities of the facility and build value in our facility.
