I feel like I won the lottery and didn’t even buy a ticket or spin the wheel. I was visiting in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico where Time Share sales are Mega business. One day I toured Emerald Bay at Pueblo Bonito a Five Star Resort. The property is so gorgeous! (Only the rich and famous stay at Emerald Bay and of course the President of Mexico) You wonder… what was Liz Taylor Key Account Representative for PhoneSmart Call Center for self storage and more in Columbia, Missouri doing in a place where only the rich and famous frequent? I was on vacation in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico visiting friends and relatives.

Last night I was out walking in the Gold Zone when a man approached me and invited me to Emerald Bay. His name is Alfredo.  He invites tourists to Emerald Bay for site tours. Alfredo stated I could have a complimentary breakfast and receive $150.00 American US Dollars ($1,560.00 PESOS) if I would listen to a 90 minute informational presentation about Emerald Bay.

I thought “what have I got to lose the presentation starts at 9am and is over at 10:30am, still plenty of beach time left?”  After the 90 minute presentation I was offered a time share for 15,000.00 US Dollars (one week red time). I looked at the sales person who gave a great presentation and just said I only came to check out the property and thanked the sales representative. What a great sales technique! I left the presentation and went to pick up the cash. All the while thinking there must be a catch somewhere. I was thinking I bet they give me coupons or gift certificates worth $150.00 US currency.

After wading through a crowd of people I make it to the desk where you redeem your invitation. The young lady at the desk asked for my invitation and ID. After showing my invitation and ID the lady counted out $150.00 US currency. I am in shock and at the same time so excited. I gather up the cash and head out the door into the van. I feel like I won the lottery and didn’t even buy a ticket or spin the wheel. What I need now is a place to store the money or a small deposit box. Where is a self storage facility when you need one?
