Here at PhoneSmart we have a few bilingual speakers who are fluent in English and Spanish- being that there is a large Spanish speaking population in the country we do get calls from Spanish speaking callers. Having said that, I, myself, happen to be one of those bilingual representatives. We have two types of Spanish speaking callers; one being the type that only speaks Spanish. The other, being that while they may be able to speak English and understand it, they are more comfortable speaking Spanish or they prefer to speak Spanish when they find out the representative speaks Spanish. It is a sound investment to have a couple of Spanish speaking employees in any business because in doing so, you will see a sales increase in your business. In the business, it is also a good idea if there can be at least one Spanish speaking employee at a self storage facility where there is a heavy concentration of a Spanish speaking population. Once you gain that Spanish speaker as a customer, you can let them know of any upcoming specials by offering them flyers or a courtesy call in Spanish- that way they can let their friends and relatives know and you can see an increase in your sales.
