Expanding on the College Campuses

I recently spoke to a manager at one of our client’s facilities. He had called to retrieve his messages.  As we briefly asked each other how we were doing, he proceeded to tell me he had had a long day because he has spent most of the earlier part of the day at a college campus promoting and selling his facility to the college kids.  Advertising self storage on college campuses is a very important part of the business.  Since college students make up a large percent of customer base, it is crucial that your self storage facility is out there and college kids know where they can store their stuff.  You can offer any specials ahead of time on campuses by having flyers available on a table or having a college student pass out flyers. It’s never too early to being selling your storage facility to those college kids that will be needing storage come this summer.  Once summer comes, the college students will know where to go for their self storage unit needs. Placing your self storage company on a magnet where they can stick it on their refrigerator will remind the college student that self storage will always be just a phone call away when it comes time for it.
