This will ensure that you are not wasting any time and money while you are trying to get your business to where it needs to be in terms of sales numbers and profit. If you are spending money that is not producing results then it would be better to eliminate that part of your business rather than continuing to throw money at the problem. The first thing that you could check and make sure that it is running properly would be the marketing room. This is the first point of contact between your company and the potential customers in a lot of cases. If this part of your company is not running smoothly then you can have a lot of trouble selling anything no matter how well you train your sales reps. You could have the best sales reps in the world but if they do not have any appointment to run then they are not going to be very successful. There is no way that you can cheat the numbers. You have to run a lot of appointments to sell a lot of units. You may have small examples where you can cheat the numbers. You may sell a unit in ten demos in a row but then you will also have a dry spell eventually. One way to make sure that your phone room is running at top capacity is to have a team of employees dedicated to quality assurance. That way you can get the most out of the money that you are spending in there.
You must figure out a closing percentage average for the type of product that you sell. Once you have figured this out you can set a goal for how many demos you want to do on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. If you sell one out of three demos then you have half of the equation already figured out. If you would like to sell one hundred units a month then you would need to run three hundred demos a month. You would then need to run about seventy five demos a week or about twelve to fifteen a day. It would be easier to reach this goal as well if you had a team for quality assurance because they could make sure that everyone in the phone room is doing their part to ensure that this goal is reached.
Do not overlook the small things when it comes to running your own direct selling business. The small things can be what make all the difference. A lot of people try to simplify the process by making sure you always have demos and dealers. It is also helpful to make sure that you have quality assurance so that you can spend time focusing on other aspects of the business.
