During the course of a normal month of secret shopping calls we will attempt to make the call until it is completed. Sometimes this means hundreds of “extra” calls that are not useable. The interesting thing about some of these calls is that many times we will get an answering machine. Now, that seems fine to let your calls ring to an answering machine instead of no one picking up, but unless you are the only storage facility in your town, I will bet you are losing business. With competition and gas prices, facilities are scrambling for their fair share of the market. Most successful know that you can’t just put up a metal building with dividers and call it storage. Successful sites normally offer security, packing and moving supplies, shipping and receiving, on site managers and more.
