Quality assurance testing is now an important part of any industry. You may be employed with an internet marketing company or the manufacturer of an automobile-you are somewhere involved in the testing process of quality. No one would like to make purchase of the products and services without making an adequate testing with relation to the testing, so that they are as per the standards required. When quality testing is carried out in any product there is a special seal or logo attached which acts as a certificate to the fact that the product has been tested for quality. This QA testing acts as an assurance to the purchaser that the product and services is up to the mark and it is free from any kind of errors and defects.

Such kind of testing is usually carried on by certified personnel and professionals who have the authority. Usually the product needs to pass all the levels of testing during its production, but the ultimate certificate to the product is provided only after the final check is made. In this way all concerns related to the effectiveness of the product are reduced.
 
Any organization that carries on control testing, has certain goals and requirements in mind, which it is required to follow. Sometimes, these are implemented from an early stage and sometimes special emphasis is laid in the final stages of production. These special tests that are carried on to meet the quality standards are specially planned and thought about well in advance. In any kind of test there is an understanding about what the outcome of the product shall be and based on which the set standards are met and are tried to achieve. Sometimes to carry on the quality assurance testing , a special department is created which takes care of all the procedures and inspects the implementation of the same. Sometimes, though the process of checking is carried on regularly, there is no separate department that is totally dedicated to the process. This is specially the case of small and medium size companies, who in spite of reliance and giving importance to quality techniques cannot afford to have a separate department for the same. Under such circumstances, they usually hire specific people who carry on the testing procedures at a later stage. Such bodies are hired and paid so that the right process is implemented.

To survive and grow in this cut throat competition all companies have started implementing or have already implemented the quality control techniques in their organization. No matter whether it is a service industry or production unit, quality needs to be maintained as quality is a guarantee to the customers that the product or service is up to the required standard and is error free. Though it may not always be possible to be technically perfect, yet this is an assurance that at the time of its production the product was perfect. It helps in creating the goodwill for the company. Thus quality assurance testing is now of prime importance to the customers.

The process involves formal and systematic methods of testing to attain a certain standard of quality. The quality of the business should meet the standard level to pass the testing process. • You must have detail and thorough knowledge about the inherent limitation of the tests. An individual test is not going to measure each and every aspect of the product or service. So, you have to keep in mind while performing the test that which test is for what purpose. Otherwise, you are going to get confused and erroneous results, which will guide the whole testing process into an unsuccessful attempt.

An effective attempt of quality assurance testing involves quite an amount of planning in advance. There should be proper documentation for the whole process. The purpose of test and limit of expectation must be defined properly in this documentation. The theoretical process must be able to identify quality standards, test plans, test scenarios, test cases and expected test results. If anything goes out of the way during the testing procedure, must be carefully identified and noted down. To specify the standard of performance, you can take help from the well known accreditations programs. These programs will also perform the required steps to certify the business as per their program.

A less understood or poorly developed quality assurance testing will be just wastage of time and energy, as the outcome of this test will be erroneous and misleading. So, before going for the test, you must be able to answer these questions properly to yourself.

• What are you going to test?
• From which standpoint you are going to test?
• What are you expecting as a test result?
• How you are going to test?
• What are the restrictions for the test?

The successful test results will generate a scope for improving the business system, by correcting the negative points and improving the positive points to the highest limit.
