An Experienced Sales Force

    People deal with numerous personal issues in their normal, everyday lives such as illnesses in the family, the loss of a loved one, a new marriage bringing in step-children, a new home or school to adjust to, finding or keeping a good job that you can support your family on, starting up your own business or trying to keep your business going. We all deal with probably way more than we’d like to on a daily basis.  Sometimes we just praying that we had an extra week or month where everything would stop around us so we could get caught up on our daily life.

    Over the past 6 years, we’ve also dealt with terrorism, a war, illegal aliens, increasing gas prices, mass destruction caused by nature; it’s been rough.  I have to give our call center reps a thumbs up as they deal with some of the toughest situations or callers.  It’s not just self storage anymore.

    In the self storage business, we also deal with the not-so-commonly-expressed opinions.  Sara, who is a morning rep and one of our bilingual reps, works part time.  She has also contributed to writing our Spanish script as well as work with other Spanish bilingual employees to decipher the different types of Spanish speaking dialects.  She also works at a Mexican restaurant here in town to help support her family. 

    An example of a completely ignorant caller was one that Sara dealt with the other day.  Answering with her very distinct Spanish accent she began to assist the caller when out of the blue, he yelled at her “Go back to your country”.  Sara replied, “Excuse me sir?”  He then stated that if she didn’t go back to her country that he was going to call immigration on her.  Sara calmly replied, “Sir, if you are trying to call immigration, you have the wrong number” and Sara hung up the phone.   I applaud Sara for handling the situation in such a calm demeanor. 

    With the number of calls that our sales reps handle, these types of calls are just another “sales tool” for us, giving us extra experience.  If you want an experienced sales force to handle your calls, all you have to do is give us a call.
